This event is organised within the framework of EITEN the Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Transfer Experts’ Network, part of EC2U Innovation Hub. The session will feature Brad Deveson in an open conversation on startups and university entrepreneurship, with a particular focus on mentoring, venture creation and pathways to commercialisation. Drawing on his experience in Sydney’s dynamic startup ecosystem, Brad will share practical insights into how universities can help entrepreneurial ideas grow from early-stage development to market-oriented innovation.

EITEN connects EC2U experts in entrepreneurship, innovation and knowledge transfer across the Alliance, while EC2U Innovation Hub promotes collaborative initiatives that strengthen innovation and entrepreneurial capacity throughout the nine partner universities.

The CAPE Forum aims to bring together researchers and industry professionals to exchange ideas and engage in discussions on research challenges, new and emerging technologies, and cutting-edge advances in both academia and industry within the field of Computer-Aided Process Engineering (CAPE).

The CAPE Forum is a series of small-scale yet highly interactive annual conferences organized under the supervision of the Computer-Aided Process Engineering Working Party (CAPE Working Party) of the European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE). Its format is designed to foster in-depth discussion, collaboration, and close interaction among participants.

The 2026 edition of the CAPE Forum will be held in Salamanca, Spain, from September 16 to 18, 2026, and will be organized by the Sustainable Engineering and Production Group at the University of Salamanca. Founded over 800 years ago, the University of Salamanca is the oldest university in Spain and one of the oldest in Europe, offering a unique historical and academic setting for this event.

The programme will feature keynote lectures by leading scientists in the field, Prof. Gonzalo Guillén (ETH Zurich), Prof. Antonio del Rio (Imperial College London), Prof. Dr. José Antonio Caballero (Universidad de Alicante), Prof. Dr. Inmaculada Ortiz Uribe (Universidad de Cantabria) and Prof. Dr. Luis Ricardez-Sandoval (Universidad de Waterloo) as well as a round table discussion with companies including P&G, AstraZeneca, Meins, Michelin and Vertex, among others.

The committee chair is the Executive Editor of Chemical Engineering Science and sits on the board of Comp. Chem. Eng, both published by Elsevier, so a special issue is being planned with the papers presented, while the book of abstracts will be published by the University of Salamanca Press.

In the name of the Department of Classical Philology and Indo-European Linguistics of the University of Salamanca we are pleased to announce the 11th International Conference on Modern Greek Dialects & Linguistic Theory (MGDLT11), which will be held from the 30th September through the 2nd October 2026.

Situated roughly 200 kilometers northwest of Madrid, Salamanca is a historical city hosting the oldest university in Spain (founded in 1218). Its old town, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988, is home to some of the most iconic landmarks of Spanish architecture.

The MGDLT conference series has a long tradition from its start in Patras (Greece) in 2000 to its latest instalment in Calabria (Italy) in 2024. Throughout these years the MGDTL conference has consolidated its position as one of the most influential and most cherished venues in the field of Modern Greek linguistics. The aim of MGDLT is to highlight the rich diversity of Modern Greek dialects and their relevance for Theoretical Linguistics and vice versa. The languages of MGDLT11 will be Greek, English and Spanish.

The organizing committee invites linguists of all ages and persuasions to submit a 600-word abstract for a 20-minute paper or a poster dealing with any aspect of Modern Greek dialectology relevant for linguistic theory using the form available on the website (section “Documentation > My documents”; sign-in needed) by the January 31st 2026. Notification of acceptance will be given by the end of February 2026. Each author can submit one single proposal, either individual or co-authored.
